SJIWFF Invites You To Get Lucky on Friday 13th!
Test your luck on Friday the 13th at the St. John's International Women's Film Festival's Bingo fundraising event on May 13th at 7:00pm at the Elks Lodge.
We have over $3,000 in exciting big ticket prizes lined up, keep an eye on SJIWFF's social media where we will be announcing the prizes as we approach to the event. Tickets are $35 in advance and $40 at the door, tickets include seven Bingo cards. You will be able to up your chances of going home with a prize by buying additional cards at the event.
Comedian and sketch comedy writer, Amanda Bulman will host SJIWFF's Friday the 13th Bingo. She's opened for Eugene Mirman at the Halifax Pop Explosion and Cheryl Hann of PicnicFace. She also founded Halifax's first all-female comedy ensemble, That Time of the Month, and the celebrated I Panic stand-up comedy and storytelling series. She's worked with Ghost with a Knife, an improv and sketch troupe based in Nova Scotia, and her film credits include voice work on Emily of New Moon and Bobby's Peace. Amanda recently won WIFT-At and PUnk Films' 1k Wave Award which will allow her to make a short documentary called, “The First Five Minutes" about amateur comics. In St. John's, she runs the Holy Grail Donut Pop-up.
We will also be selling tickets on a 50/50 draw at the event.
There will be a cash bar at the event.
